Do you want to come out as a dancer?
Would you like to build confidence in the way you move in your body?
Do you want to explore your sparkly, sensual self in a fun, safe environment?
Are you looking for a space where all gender identities are welcome and respected?

Join me for a fun, fierce, hip shaking four weeks of Bellydance classes in June. Just $50 for the month. Learn the beautiful movements of an ancient art in an upbeat and supportive environment. All levels of dance experience welcome!

Because of it’s use of simple rhythms and the whole body, Bellydance is a great way to develop connection to your body. In this series of four classes, we will cover the following basics: dance posture, hand/arm work, locks, pops, and shimmies. Instructor Heaven creates a warm, fun environment for exploring your connection to your body, while improving your moves.

No previous dance experience necessary.

Tuesdays in June, 6-7pm

Self-care includes holding each other accountable because we are interconnected. Loving ourselves includes learning how not to harm each other. Loving ourselves includes disrupting violent patterns in our homes and community-building spaces.

We spend our lives trying to build ourselves into something that other people think that we should be…From a very early age, we’re taught to turn down that honesty knob, and turn up the one on polite — and it’s no wonder that by the time we get to be adults we can’t honestly tell anyone around us who we are, what we love, and what we’re feeling…

So tell me this — when are you going to admit that there is something glorious about being you?…so that you don’t have to wake up every morning and walk on eggshells, and you can look at something that you built because you love it, and it’s honest and true to who you are.
